Bin Materials

When you hire a skip bin, we discuss what items will be going in the bin. Wattle Town Skip Bins work very closely with the local waste transfer stations and follow the industry rules and regulations including the different areas of waste and where they are emptied at the transfer facility.

 

We hire bins for the following waste categories:

  • Domestic Waste – household rubbish that you would normally put in your domestic council bin.
  • Metal – scrap metal only
  • Green Waste – loads are for green pruning’s only, which must be no longer than 2 metres and no greater than 20cm in diameter.(No soil or tanbark)
  • Builders Rubble – builders type rubbish including timber, giprock, timber furniture – no metal.
  • Masonry Mix – loads may contain a mix of bricks, concrete, tiles, pavers and slate. 4M bins only due to weight.
  • Soil and Turf – loads may contain the top layer of lawn. 4M bins only due to weight.
    These loads cannot be mixed. If they are mixed, addition sorting fees will apply.

We do accept car and truck tyres on the top of the bin loads. There is an addition fee for these, please enquire for current pricing

Mattress & Inner Spring Bed bases can also be place on top of the bin load. There is an addition fee for these, please enquire for current pricing.

 

Items that cannot be placed in our bins

Liquids – No liquids are to be placed in the bin. Charges will apply (disposal and cleaning fees). This includes Paint, Oil, Chemicals.

Food Waste, Medical waste & Putrid Waste is not accepted in our bins. An additional charge will be charged for additional handling.

Hazardous Waste is not to be placed in our bins.
